Gregory & The Hawk is a project led by the captivating vocal talents of native New Yorker Meredith Godreau, who has been performing under said moniker to massive DIY success for five years now. In what is a staggering accomplishment for an artist without a label, manager or booking agent, she’s sold in excess of 15,000 self-released singles, bringing about a groundswell of support on the internet that has resulted in over 17 pages of fans covering her songs on YouTube. http://gregoryandthehawk.com http://www.myspace.com/gregoryandthehawk
Jean Elliot Senior (Crëvecoeur) Romain Didier of the excellent Crëvecoeur brings his new solo project to Ireland for the first time. Elements of Crëvecoeur’s sound are identifiable – sea shanties, Morricone-style melodies and funereal marches – but are now accompanied by fractured vocals in his native French. Somewhere between Gainsbourg, Scott Walker and Leonard Cohen. The man wears an eye-patch. That alone is worth the entry price. http://www.myspace.com/elliotmarchal

The Midwest has always been the home of great indie rock artists and One For The Team make no exception here. Originally started as a one man project by Ian Anderson, founder of Afternoon Rec. and „Twin Cities man-about-town“ (Spin magazine), One For The Team became a real band while working on the material for „Build It Up“, Anderson’s second collection of songs recorded for renowned Californian Indie label The Militia Group in2008. Soundwise, One For The Team offers everything fans of sunny, yet never superficial alternative pop music can wish for: Mixed male and female vocals, playful guitars and keyboards and last, but not least: very catchy songs. After extensive US touring, playing shows with „everybody from British Sea Power to Voxtrot“ (The Tripwire), the trio is now ready to win the hearts of European Indie boys and girls. www.myspace.com/onefortheteam
