Tickets go on sale this morning for Electric Picnic 2012.
This year’s Electric Picnic will run from Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September in Stradbally, as is traditional.
The acts announced so far are:
THE CURE, SIGUR RÓS, ELBOW, GRIZZLY BEAR, ORBITAL, CHRISTY MOORE, THE ROOTS, HOT CHIP, THE KILLERS, BAT FOR LASHES, GLEN HANSARD, THE XX, METRONOMY, THE HORRORS, AZEALIA BANKS, ROOTS MANUVA, BELL X1, STAFF BENDA BILILI, MILAGRES, ED SHEERAN, ALABAMA SHAKES, CRANES, LITTLE ROY, JOHN DIGWEED, LAND LOVERS, BAXTER DURY, JONATHAN WILSON, SOLAR BEARS, FATOUMATA DIAWARA, WILLIS EARL BEAL, LANTERNS ON THE LAKE
That’s hardly going to fill a weekend, so expect a steady feed of announcements over the coming weeks.
Weekend tickets are €230 and Sunday (only) day tickets are €99.50. Family Camping tickets are €230 per adult, with two under-twelves admitted per adult (so that’s €460 for 2 adults & 4 kids). Campervan tickets for access to the regular & family campervan parks are €60 on top of your weekend ticket.
