ELAINE MAI’s debut EP DOTS is released on April 5th on new Galway based label Strange Brew Rekkids., Over the last year and a half, Elaine Mai has made a huge impression on the Irish live scene, not only with her own solo shows but also with some impressive support slots and guest vocals on Carraroe by Daithi. Her music is timeless – powerful lyrics, haunting vocals are layered over harmonies, beats and guitar and looped to create swelling, atmospheric melodies so captivating it’s hard to remember it’s just herself on stage. Emotive pop music for the 21st century.
The long awaited launch of the EP will take place in the Róisín Dubh in Galway on Thursday April 5th – the EP will also be available in selected outlets nationwide as well as online from iTunes, eMusic and many other digital sources. There are a string of dates around the country to support the launch and Elaine will also be playing at the first Camden Crawl Dublin and will be playing as part of the Galway Arts Festival supporting James Vincent McMorrow & Lisa Hannigan in the Big Top on July 26th.
