Jogging, Patrick Kelleher, Magic Pockets, Maria Somerville and Crowhammer will play a Misery Beat Christmas fundraiser gig on December 6th in aid of Alone.
ALONE is an independent charity that works with the 1 in 10 older people who are at risk of homelessness, socially isolated, vulnerable or in crisis. ALONE provide supportive housing, befriending, community response and campaigning services to over 300 older people on a weekly basis. The ‘Campaigns for Change’ work to highlight failures in respect of the rights of older people that ALONE engages with. All services are non-denominational and confidential. ALONE receives no Government funding for their day to day activities. ALONE services are delivered 365 days a year and operate with a ratio of 1 staff member to every 15 volunteers.
