Your work situation (9 Viewers)

Top tip kids:
If someone's histamines are acting up, get them to roll up their sleeve, then grab a bunch of stinging nettles and then sting that person as much as you can.

It confuses the immune system and so the reaction calms down. It does work I swear. It is probably not in the RAMS.

How bad can hayfever get? One of the guys on one of the teams I work with is taking a sick day because he has hayfever - can it get more debilitating than I realised, or is this guy just pathetic?
It can get really bad depending on the person and the kind of pollen hitting them.
I worked outdoors one day down by the Boyne river at the start of July, at least 4 people had to leave because they were getting annihilated by the hay fever. I took two anti-histamines that day myself and was still feeling it a bit.

Writing work emails at this time of night is a bad idea. But, writing and then deleting before sending has it's merits. So that is what I did.

There'll be a chat in the morning, between people's personal phones.

DOB calling out all the blended workplace wasters.
(I'm just jealous)

Breaking news : Mr. O'Brien has just filed a 100 billion euro lawsuit for defamation for claims that his neck is made of brass or anything other metal.

Again with these last minute jobs.

Somehow it hasn't filtered through to the guys in the office that I'm not The Last Minute Guy.
So no, I don't fancy ruining my day today to unfuck a shit show on the other side of town tonight and then spending two hours on night buses. For a half days pay.

Then he texts me saying "I don't have have you scheduled for this other thing on Tuesday", that he messaged me about and I confirmed. Like, I'm not privy to your shit spreadsheets am I? Put the spliff down and concentrate. Alone, without bothering me.

Not me, but something someone said the other day that has stuck in my head for the last couple of days, so I better write it down.

He was working at LARGE AMERICAN MUSIC EVENT. And it's a huge show so the hard bits are full on, the waiting bits are also full-on waiting. It's very frustrating. My colleagues there are good, obviously the touring crew are amazing. But then there's hundreds of others. We get lumped in with the random bodies, and it's very annoying.

Anyway, the office called him and said "I know it's physically and mentally tiring, but do you have the strength to do another day there tomorrow?"

His reply, refusing the work, and English being not even his second language, was:

"I certainly have the strength, I just don't have the stupidity".

I do believe that is a quote for the ages.
