Mumblin Def Ro - herring + brine
Got "The Else" by They Might Be Giants the other day, it's very good, much better than their last one. The bonus disc is almost better than the real album.
Still a few biggies to come this year though...

Although my undoubted album of the year came out last '06, Sloan - You'll Never Hear The End Of This. Took ages to get into it but it rewards greatly.

in a similar vein, Miracle Fortress, 5 Roses, Beach Boys go shoe-gazing. Aces.

1. There's so much old music

Couldn't have put it better me self - so technically good, yet so totally "absent" - I actually think Adebisi are quite a bit better then em!

same on the album front for me - all compilations and oldies - and anything I like is unsigned (or even un-signable)

Suggestion for a new thread is it curtains for the music industry?
Is this a bad thing?

I think the so cow album is probably my favourite so far. I bought the Si Schroeder album recently which i am enjoying but i think that's from last year. Even allowing for personal biases, the new michael knight album, which probably won't be out for another while, is one of the best albums I have heard in a very long time.
