Xbox live is down for maintenance as far as i know. Its back at 9pm our time tonight.

Theres a dashboard update due in may which is rumoured to include a web browser.

Think I read that this downtime is NOT for the updated dashboard.

Bring on the browser. I dunno whether i'd use it much cos my pc is beside the xbox but i'd imagine it would be handy for a lot of people. Stuff like email, forums, news, youtube on a big telly from the comfort of the couch.

Thing with shit like that is that it means the playing field isn't even anymore. Halo 3 on-line will be an even bigger arena of hate with shit like that.

The next Pro Ev needs to use VT3 as a model for online play.

The option to set up a lobby with up to 8 players and play a tournament, watch each others matches etc is fantastic.

Why those two games?

I didn't play COD3 for too long to be honest, it seemed ok.

COD because i played it in a shop yonks ago and liked the look of it. Battlestations because it seems like the kind of strategy game i used to love on PC (age of empires and such). Every good game on xbox so far seems to be fps or tennis, neither of which i'm particularly interested in. Hopefully crackdown will be good, though i wasn't much of a fan of GTA after they changed it from the top-down driving cars into krishna's stuff.
