Where do *you* get your music? (1 Viewer)

Download some from bands, some from iTunes, some from local record shop, charity shops, some ordered from bands own sites, if I'm in Dublin during the day (hardly ever) I'll get something there. Might get the odd classic dropboxed from family and friends.

Jesus I haven't heard the word teletext in years!

Teletext was wonderful. I miss it, I really do.

i scroll through facebook often and just hit play on everything. its not as good since that awful 30day song challenge thing appeared.

I considered doing it! But then I realised it was incredibly awful, and I started to detest people for taking up my home page.

I get my music online. For the stuff i'm into (drone/noise/electronics/avant-garde), there is a lot of great sites. Boomkat, Norman, Mimaroglu, Fusetron, Aquarius. These sites are updated weekly. Boomkat is my favorite. Love the layout. Discogs is amazing if you know exactly what your looking for. Last.Fm can be great for getting into new music, too. I just basically learn myself. Find an artist I like, see what label he/she/they are on, look at previous releases, other artists on the label etc... I suppose I-tunes is good, but I don't touch digital. I'm a wax enthusiast :)

Might as well throw this one in here, but can anyone suggest a good place to buy a record player or a good brand?

Have you tried e-bay? Obvious I know, but check the uk one, too. I picked up mine from there. If your not looking for a vintage-one, just pick up a Technic 2nd hand. You can get a good record player from between 80-120. Argos do one for around 40. If your looking to get one on the cheap.

I have that one. Its towering 2w output is sorta shit so you'll eventually need external speakers. also the needle was badly balanced and it had to basically be coined on the first day. it is however, 40 quid.
