i wasn't entirely sure the first time i listened to it on th'ould stereo, but i've been listening to it on headphones in work and it's really growing on me. lots of nice details emerging on repeated listens.

Yeah. Marquee moon seems to be the type of album that that would be extremely difficult to follow up. Its like they put too much work into crafting the songs, in my humble opinion.

it's not that good. the singing on one of the songs is pretty bad / funny. hella already jumped dat shark if you asked me.

Yeah, it's decent.. a lot calmer. The production kind of kills their 'edge' though, the songs that should have a bit of bite (like Foxhole) are sort of muted. The one they released in 1992 is nice too (could that be a record I wonder.. 12 years between two consecutive albums?), but neither of them get anywhere near the same intensity as the first one.
