Only bothered listening to Eric Dolphy for first time last year after someone recommended him to me at a gig. I don't have many jazz records - need to fix that.
EDIT: I remember typing up the above post but not posting it - I must have fallen asleep immediately after.

Thanks. The circumstances of Dolphy's avoidable death are awful.
He had undiagnosed diabetes and possibly got the wrong treatment on a tour in Denmark. Eric didn't touch drink or drugs.
