Not this week but just over the last couple of hours and to be honest, I've not really listened too much, so I might be being stupid. But it seems to be getting people interested.

But what make Yee of this lot? Playing somewhere around here next month. I've never heard of them.

Having a good time with the Beyonce record
The Blackbird cover is really nice - she keps teh McCartney toe tap in there. The world's first click track?
And the Jolene cover is a hoot. It's not a covers record, but these two are very immediate.

Hilarious to see this earlier

No matter what you do, some motherfucker is gonna come at you and question your musical/racial/social-justice bona fides.
Thanks for betraying black folks and black music, Beyonce!

Yasmine Williams is about 10 times the musician Beyoncé is so I'd read what she has to say, not to mention a black musician

This just came up on shuffle and I forgot how much I love this song.

Waxahatchee - Tigers Blood (2024)

This kind of Americana is so easy for me to listen too. She has just hit the golden spot in these last two records. It's like putting on a Tom Petty or Neil Young album. Her vocals are so nice.

Slow Pulp - Yard (2023)

These seem like real nice kids, playing some 90s inspired american guitar music. Listening to them is the equivalent of watching a good Coming of Age movie. Lovely vocals again.

Both playing Dublin this summer. I'm on the hunt for decent balcony tickets for Waxahatchee. Only restricted view available on the last look.
