What a bizarre record. Hadn't listened to it since I was about 12. There's no way on earth an album like that could be a best selling pop record today.
Weird assed song structures and time signatures. Lyrics that encourage kids to dress well, be unique and have sex
Not a patch on KOTWF but amazing that it was a No1 record all the same.

Just got the reissue of Dirk which has a load of tracks from the early singles. Amazing album alright.
Jordan sang on some tracks on their peel sessions. Have a cassette of them somewhere. Haven't heard it in years.
