amon tobin: permutation, supermodified

so far:
dB's - stands for decibels
bauhaus - telegram sam for a couple of times
bauhaus - ziggy stardust for a few times, the eno-cover shines the light!
stereolab - jenny ondioline 10", b-side shits all over a-sides face
orchestral manoeuvres in the dark - messages 10", great track and great cover from vu
wedding present - ukraina vistupi v john peela 10"

so new stuff i've bought and 10"s...maybe some loop and/or band of susans next

now playing Earthless - Flower Travelin' Man aka the a-side of their record
the b-side is much more boring but this one is just brilliant, long sabbathy 70s, grateful dead kinda epic brainfuck, with lots of volume this is mindblowing

Paul Stanley-Kiss solo lp
Ace Frehley-Kiss solo lp
Outo-19 songs lp
Trust-trust lp
Radio Birdman-radio activity lp
v/a-sons of the dolls lp
Time Machine-never met suzi 7"

Metallic Falcons - Desert Doughnuts - very good creepy folk rock / ambient chanting type stuff from Cocorosie members

For Against - Echelons - mid 80s new wave, sounds a bit like a hybrid of REM's jangly days and Factory Records stuff...

also John Martyn - London Conversation

listened to a shit load of records in work today. one record that stood out today was Black One by Sunn O))). Never properly listened to it in headphones, and although i enjoyed it when i first got it, it quickly left my stereo. well going back to it just made me realise how seriously good it is. like a perfect mix between doom metal, black metal, noise, and drone.

I actually had some time to listen to records this weekend...

'Dig me out' - Sleator Kinney (you just keep wanting to play the first two songs over and over, eh, which I did for a while)
'Other Animals' - Erase Errata (side 2 is awesome)
'Realistes' - Comet Gain
'Crazy to Exist' (live) - Josef K
'This is a prayer' - Black Gang
'Evil ones and zeros' - Immense (staggeringly good instrumental stuff, paticularly side c)
'Unlimted' - Maximum Joy (ruddy good, particularly side B)
'Spiegel em spiegel' Arvo Part

Walking around to Cougar's summery, introspective 'Law', keeping me at an easy pace...

Dub Trio - New Heavy
- great except for the track Mike Patton sings on which sounds like Faith No More it their worst.
