i picked up "And Their Refinement Of The Decline" at the weekend. have been listening to it since. great stuff. sotl really are amazing. nice one for the rec., i never would have even spotted it in the record shop otherwise. it's about the closest kind of thing i've heard to music for airports, this one - a good thing in my book.

what's the other album above? i can't make it out. sotl too?

the other sleeve is the triple vinyl version of the s.o.t.l. i went cd, vinyl, then cd again, and every day since.

heard bang on a can's live version of music for airports? great stuff.

i see. i only have the vinyl version but i downloaded a digital copy of it and actually that's all i've really listened to so far. i guess there's no differences between the two?..... apart from any underlying format related things.

no, but i saw them performing it live in schiphol airport around 1999. while it was nice to see them doing it and the music was great, i kind of thought it went against the principal of the thing. didn't brian eno intend for it to just be unperformed, basically wallpaper? ah, whatever, i suppose.

other than sotl, which i've listened to every day this week so far, i have been listening to:

I can't get over how good this is. Most versions are actually BETTER than the LP versions, and sound way better.
