They were saying "fok" and "fokken".
It sounded more like some scouser saying 'fuck' than anything else. With a bit of Irish thrown in.

I can't say I agree. Half the time he seemed funny and likable but a bit of a gobshite. Wife-beating and torture made him rather more unlikable. Likeable or not, you have to mind the end because, well, you know (I've forgotten how to do the spoiler thing).
Up there with Scorsese and Coppola? I think so! Not as good as Goodfellas but better than Casino. Much better than Godfather 3.
