Right..I'm coming in hard and fast.I watched two movies this weekend.Might be a record.

First up..The Purge.

This looked like it was gonna be the greatest movie ever made...and for the first 15 mins it was going great.Then it donned a sonmbrero and headed south quicker than a rancid enchilada.Absolutely BARRRUTALLLLLL.Nevertheless..grab a few beers and a couple of mates round and you'll have a good laugh.

Second up..End Of Watch.

Watched the 2 Despicable Me films over the weekend. Thought both were very funny.

Upstream Color. Undecided. On the one hand it was ambitious, intelligent, well acted and beautifully shot but I also found it pretentious (and this coming from a Malick fan), po-faced and rather silly in places. I would definitely recommend it to fans of challenging cinema but I think it's getting overrated by some people.

I watched it on recomendation of a friend who said,correctly,that its one helluva cop movie.

It was'nt perfect.But it was riveting.

I really need to start paying more attention. I hate reading reviews or seeing trailers before I see something, so I often miss when they are on. I used to have someone update me on what was on at the moment.

It really was shit. The premise was interesting if unlikely but it was just so predictable and badly done.


Superman was another turd..at one point I realised I could look away from the endless fight scene and not miss anything of importance..I could have driven home , had a cup of tea and came back to watch the ending and I wouldn't have missed anything

Shame, the flashback scenes were interesting so initially I had high hopes

The Richard Donner one is still the best
