What movie did you watch last night? (3 Viewers)

that's Ron Perlman?? Fuuuuck, never noticed that before. Great makeup job. I just thought that the actor was really deformed but he did seem familiar. Well done Mr Perlman for making me believe he really was a deranged hunchback

Its an odd little film - not your typical 'horror' film for sure.

Michael Parks is excellent as the nutter preacher and John Goodman is great as always. Theres a few suprises and strange turns in it too.

Very different from Kevin Smiths other work.

I hope it opens in the cinema here soonish..

Old gangsters with rules being replaced by the new kind who don't give a fuck.

Merciful hour again. When these nuns aren't disciplining each other they're being possessed by Satan.

Jackie Chan, pirates, corrupt cops.

Urusla Andress, Stacy Keach, cannibals.

Chow Yun Fat and Ti Lung. Pretty standard Hong Kong cop business. Bad guy is Norman Chu who's also in a bunch of Shaw Brothers films.

In the IFI at the end of the month with a Q&A by Smith. Stupidly, via satellite from London.

i watched a bunch of good stuff over the weekend:

Agora - Science vs Religion in the dark ages. Well made, thought provoking
Don't Look Now - Great late night freaky viewing
Apt Pupil - Good story, well acted, a little far fetched
sex, lies and videotape - disturbing masterpiece
Choke - so so. not a fan of palahniuk in general but am a big fan of sam rockwell

Max von Sydow does not turn out to be a werewolf. Possibly that should have gone in spoiler tags.

George C. Scott being harassed by a hunted house.

Short film by Jan Kounen who made that Dobermann film. An Aztec statue turns a guy into the titular Vibroboy. Not the most subtle thing ever.

Following his sell out solo shows in 2009, Kevin Smith will make a welcome return to UK shores. Having premiered his latest feature, “Red State” starring John Goodman, Michael Parks and Melissa Leo at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011, Kevin has famously written and directed feature films including “Clerks I & II,” “Chasing Amy,” “Dogma,” “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back,” “Jersey Girl,” and “Zack and Miri Make a Porno,” starring Seth Rogen. With three solo DVD's under his belt, Smith has also written for both of the major comic book giants DC and Marvel including the award-winning Daredevil and Spider-Man.
Jason Mewes made his film debut as the fast talking, foul mouthed and over sexed yet loveable "Jay" in the hit film ‘Clerks’. He has since gone on to star as “Jay” in ‘Chasing Amy’, ‘Dogma’, ‘Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back’ and ‘Clerks II’ as well as performing in ‘Scream 3’ alongside long-term friend Smith. In 2010, Jason starred in mobster comedy "The Last Godfather" along with Harvey Keitel and Blake Clark, while his role in ‘Todd and the Book of Pure Evil’ for CTV’s SPACE channel in America earned him a strong cult sci-fi following.

Heading to the UK for the first time ever and reprising their much-loved roles as Jay and Silent Bob, this is what fans everywhere have been waiting for – An opportunity to see their heroes on stage doing what they love, telling stories. This is a very limited tour so make sure you don’t miss out!
