I think the Chairmen of the Board should be making the decisions here:

Afterall, "Musical trends come and go, but for more than fifty years, Beach Music has been as steady as the Atlantic Ocean's flow to its southeastern beachfronts,"

Definitely should be a books and films board.

And a board for gig announcements.

Is there really a need for a separate board for films and books? if someone wants to discuss a book or a film, they just bring it up on the general board and it gets discussed there, i just think it'd be easier if things were kept in one place, i don't think anyone has any objection to books or films being discussed on the general board, so why move them?

i think there is a need . I've don't think I have ever started a thread on books or films , but I certainly would if there was an actual forum for it .

i also
i'm always wanting to go 'have you read blah blah blah' and i'd be a lot more likely to say it on a specialised board. i can't actually remember having ever seen a thread about books on the general forum.
also would be good to have the film threads all in one place.

there has been a few in the general forum , I think . they do tend to vanish down the bottom as people are too busy posting pictures of robokittens and talking nonsense . the books forum shall be a much more civilised place for us literati folk .

I think we should have a seperate board about music as well. I hate it when people start these boring threads about music when I'm trying to look at pictures of robots and stuff like that.

  • make the thumped logo illedgeable so people in work can't see what you're looking at and then go and check it out themselves. seriously
I'm working on a minimal image / text only / workplace friendly version, as suggested by one Mr. Casino a while ago. It's hard buh.

I strongly disagree with seperate boards for gigs and arts. But sure....

here's one: banning of anyone with over 2000 posts that hasnt subscribed.
