for the record Boigaz' Double CD Comp "Journey To The Center of Thumped" is very tasty. just spent the evening giving it a proper listen and it's funky as a bowl haircut. cheeeez Boigaz!

K. Heres my honey. Its a very downbeat affair but some lovely stuff nonetheless. The first song has been rocking my microcosm since i saw him play a few weeks ago. Then theres a bit of piano indulgence and all the rest are fillers. Except for the last one. Its my 30th birthday on Sunday. I'm gonna get a takeaway and Bjork is flying in especially. 34 compilations aint bad. Next time someone else gets the pleasure of counting.

another shameless plug for a comp born here. eoinbox's 2 x cd comp is great great listening from start to finish. just spent the evening listening to both of them. so much did i enjoy them that i want to spread eoinbox's proxy love. so first person to PM me (have a read of the tracklisting a couple of pages back - actually no need to bother its all good music) i'll burn a copy of both cds and forward them on to you. do it.

eoinbox : rethpe' .|..|

yes! boigaz's's's's's "journey to the centre of thumped" is fantastic. a wonderful mix. my favorite thing that i have never heard before on it was the ballad of "Tam Linn". and surely amon tobin's "nightlife" is a slice of ecstatic heaven.

Thanks to nlgbbbbith and eoinbox for the comps. Absolutely cracking both of them. Personal faves from nlgbbbbith's one would be thee headcoats doing '(we hate the fuckin') NME and the vivian jackson number. I never knew who the rev. corps of teenage jesus were either. Deadly. Eoinbox provided just a boxload of gems in his double cd. That Cat Power number is really jumping into my head, but the whole double is just fucking RAPAAAA.

It's very educational really. Thumped school of music

Jesus, I don't know. On the CD? Don't tell me I left the band names off the cover...

Well, I only have Bob James One. It's not bad but cheesy out a good bit of the time. Like, there's a really shmoooth version of 'Feel like making love' on it. I got it for Nautilus really. Two, Three, Four all supposed to be good but I haven't gotten on to them yet. Love that Taxi theme though, definition of a fender rhodes.

I am kind of closed minded and only listen to mostly guitar based stuff but these compilations could change all that. got donkeys new one and its cool, mellow out.

Would love if someone did a Daniel johnston compilation....i only have around 4 of his albums like so i can't yet!!! or a ween one i have a good bit of their stuff but not enough either. when they do a gud song it grabs by the balls....

husker du ones will be in the hands of hermie, davychase and one other lucky punter on tuesday, just got em all ready.

i grew up listening to guitar bands and they'd still be my first choice of music or gig. but theres some fucking amazing music out there without a guitar or your standard four piece rock n roll formation in sight. the first time a piece of wholly electronic / programmed music blew me away was a very humbling moment. after that i was open to anything and the next night i slept with a sampler. still dont know if the orgasm was real or sampled :(

sorry to everyone who's waiting on a compilation from me, i've been really busy lately & have also run out of blank cds. should have them in the post in the next couple of days!
