Bodkins was a rapid venue

when was that one on?

only very few fuckers turned up

thats when I first met Rumpus and Snakybus

that was a brillo night with brillo tunes!
everyone was only getting warmed up and it was over though :(

somewhere with a dancefloor is definitely needed for this one!

whats the story with getting the second floor in Doyles (not the top 'By Dwarves, For Dwarves' floor) ?

it's got a bar, comfy seating, some CD decks and a 'Dance' - 'Floor'

( i havent danced since 1995 and I'm proud - i can only do the Ian Brown shaking an imaginary maraca dance and quiet frankly it's disgusting)

it used ot be if you could guarantee that at least 50 people will turn up you'd get it for free...

That's not true. You danced past a number of tackles on Saturday

How about a Carol Service involving the Tycho Brahe?

Our school debs was in Tamango's. Which was great because the girl I'd asked to go with me a few months previously was, by the time the debs came round, now going out with a friend of mine.

Which was great because as soon as we got in the door, she made a bee-line for him.

Which was great because she spent the whole night getting off with him.

Which was great because I was really jealous.

Which was great.
hmmm
we had no debs. not allowed. strict principal
I had a similar debs-experience tho' with the local "girls" school

girl I was seeing has asked this guy months ago so she had to bring him
some random girl asked me
plan was to ditch partners at some stage in the evening.

except my girl ended up snogging the bloke she brought
I got hammered and we never spoke again.

1989: what a year

I never went to my debs either. My year in school was about 65% people from Portmarnock and Malahide even though the school was in Raheny and I couldn't stand them! So me and my..eh..3 friends in the year said jaysus we're not paying through the nose to spend the entire night with a bunch of fuckin muppets.

And anyway, can you really see me in a snazzy volumptuous dress with nails that could scratch diamonds.

No I didn't think so.

Well that's my story. I'm been Roxy; you've been great.

Good Night, God Bless, and Safe Home
