would it be worth things spending money on getting prime slots for putting up posters in town, ala macrothingy.
ie 20 euro a month to simons to ensure posters for all related bands behind the counter or something

Proper posters... as in billboards... are pricey enough... from what I remember, those flyer things on Micromedia don't cost anything. I've dropped flyers into the holders before. Although flyers aren't too popular no more...
