well if you put it on in the front page or auntie annies or the like and give it a good push and maybe put on a popular enough belfast band on the bill you might increase its pull
 
advertising + popular support band = more people? who'd have thought!
i dunno what kind of impression you have of dublin and the 'amazing reception' they'd get here, but this gig will probably draw the same 40 or so people that black forest / black sea did. nobody actually likes this shit. cept for the nerds.

man it seems like you guys have a lot better bands down there like the stuff on deserted village and daemien frost and a friend of mine aonghus tells me about some really cool improv club called the ladybird(i think thats it) and all the good indie music shops you have. we dont have any of that shit at all

Belfast is a really small city compared to Dublin though.... The place has got about 10000 X better than when I started going to gigs (about 8 or so years ago).
