They're only a big part of the pill for some women. It really depends on the particular person and the particular pill. Side effects should subside after the first 3 months and if they haven't and are causing distress, changing to a different pill or considering different birth control is the best course of action. The pill is by no means the only option. I know I sound like a flippin advice column here, but if someone takes a medication that is doing more harm than good then they should rectify the matter. Like, duh.
