The Freebooters - Ordinary Level Oi! CD (1 Viewer)

I will film yas again whenever yas play because I treated myself to a nice spinky external mic and I stood in the wrong place for that Dorans gig so the vocals were drowned out, but as Manual would say "I learn! I learn!"

Finally got a workin cd player the other day so been listenin to this quite a bit, I LOVE IT!! Lyrics are unbelievable.

where can I buy this cd in Dublin?

You can order CD online here http://distroy.prestabox.com/ with next day delivery if you get the order in early enough in the day. I havent left CDs anywhere in Dublin as didnt have the time last time I was up unless any of the Freebooters have I am unaware of it being stocked in Dublin.

Pretty good seeing as I haven't sent any for review as been to broke, had to pay for three more releases since this came out so only sending stuff off for review now this week. It has been sent off to razorcake, MRR, Plasticbomb and all the others. Probably have went through around 50-60 copies so far just from online orders with even orders from Australia and one or two trades and wholesale and promo's.

on top of the ones shifted at the launch gigs in dblin and cork thats pretty good alright - thanks again for putting it out! Dont think thomas put any in the shops in dublin so thats another angle

FREEBOOTERS, THE:
Ordinary Level Oi!: CD
Oi joke/parody bands are kind of an insult. After all, aren’t the real oi bands we love goofy enough? Yet Ireland’s Freebooters manage to create some hilarious songs here that are also up to par musically. Released by the anarcho peace punk/crust label Distro-y, Ordinary Level Oi! is for listeners who would never buy the real thing. Comedic high points include “Paddy Hitler” and “Stormfront in a Teacup,” the former of which includes the lyric “Come on buddy, won’t you shake my hand? / I’m not just a Nazi, I’m a Deicide fan.” There are hints of other subgenres, including ‘77 punk and ska, but the main style lampooned on this is U.K. oi. They’re no Hard Skin, but this is pretty fucking funny stuff regardless. –Art Ettinger (Distro-y)
