The Charlie Brooker Thread (2 Viewers)

Awful, awful jokes. That I laughed my ass off at.

It's a modern version of Police Squad!

I had to pause it after the "Any prints?" gag. Laughing too much and hating myself for doing so.

What a nice surprise this show is.

I thought it was good fun..some great bits

If I remembered how to tag I'd let Johnny Raz know that his old band was mentioned; "Bastard rain"..as Cloth fires wildly at the rain

This makes me sad.

It feels good to laugh at dumb sight gags, bad puns and non sequiturs.

Each to his own though.

I'm looking forward to the next one.

I'll give it a chance eventually I'm sure. Any on the clips I've seen came off as lame. That said a few of the jokes from it people told me did sound quite amusing.

I just gave it 10 minutes and didn't find it funny at all.
The turning point (downward) was when they did one of those scenes where they talked in acronyms. Seen that done so many times before, and it was never funny in the first place.

I had to hit pause after the "Any prints?" gag as I was laughing too much. I take no pride in saying that.

Also the Dad that "came as soon as I heard". So dumb, yet killed me.

Clearly Charlie has a hard-on for Zucker, Abrahams and Zucker.
And the Morse/Frost/Cracker yoke is so full of tropes and cliches they've got rich pickings.

Black Mirror Series 2 to be broadcast within "weeks, not months" says Brooker.
Also we can expect a weekly newswipe type of thing too.

Weekly Wipe news from the horses mouth:

"Weekly Wipe starts tomorrow (Thursday), BBC2 at 10pm. Sounds like poor toilet routine, but isn't. It's a new Wipe programme."

For me it's not always so much what he says, but the wonderful / witty / obscene way he says it.
I'm pretty sure he has a go at the tinfoil hat brigade himself.

He stopped being funny a few years ago from what I can gather. I watched that end of year wipe thing over christmas and bailed half way through. Either the format is stale or he isn't as funny.
