Anyone ever been? Went to coachalla a few years back and wasn't that impressed, couldn't walk around with a beer etc.....Is it a free for all at the burning man?

It certainly is a free for all, but I am not sure how much fun a festival in a waterless, sandfilled desert would be.

You have be able to take all the shit you need to sustain yourself with you, then take it all away afterwards. Anything else you need you will have to barter for. So, you would need lots and lots of water/food/fuel/power/booze/drugs/desert gear/ski goggles and more. Plus also have the means to take it away with you.

i went 8 years ago; it's not free (unless you sneak in) and the only things you can buy are coffee and ice, everything else is bartering. bring all the shit you need with you for the week.

I've been, in 2002. It is full of hippy spas telling you they love you and shit. Glad I went once but would never go back. If you need to know what you need to bring though I'll fill you in.
