So is it an irrational fear or a very very rational deep-rooted hatred that has just grown and festered over the years that now manifests itself in a physical reactionary revulsion at the touch or sight of them? I'm the second one with cauliflower.

I'm in favour of mushrooms as an ingredient but ambivalent to them on their own.

It is the worst foodstuff ever invented so your fears are not unreasonable particularly given the inclination of sandwich makers to put it in their sandwiches without listing it with the other sandwich contents.

i thought manic was a dude too?
mushrooms are great on their own,chopped into nice chunks then fried,heaven.or even raw and unprepared for some varieties.

And yes, red sauce = ketchup.
And yes, mayo is all kinds of wonderful. The superquinn essentials mayo is very strong though.
