Had a good look at this while on me hollyers and I thought it was really pretty good. Good to see HS and Jimmy Cake given proper interviews/articles and not shoved into some "Irish Band" section. Interview with REM was good and (almost) made me believe their new album might actually be worth listening to (having the little side-bar interviews with the Olympia guy and the Irish producer were real nice touches). Design and layout is good. Lots to read. Nice format.

In future issues I would like to see

- live reviews of local stuff
- metal

More terrible puns. Change the "50 words on ..." pieces to "The State of ..."

I read this the other day. I think it´s very good. It´s got a very neutral tone and an absence of hype that´s reassuring. The interviews are a good length and the reviews fairly balanced. Presentation-wise it´s much more tasteful that what we´re use to.

Don´t bother with free CDs in my opinion - it will put you out of business within six months cost-wise, and won´t pull in that many extra readers.

Overall a good start.

The only thing missing from this and music magazines generally, is a lengthy article on a band that isn´t an interview.

PS: I don´t even put myself on the cover of my albums so I certainly wouldn´t recommend that any magazine put me on their cover.
