someone mentioned Asleep by The Smiths as a downer. bizarrely enough, it's one of my favourite happy songs. i used to go out with someone a few years back and she'd sing it to me if i was sad to cheer me up

i've yet to get into the wrens. what's a good record to begin with. i'm geussing meadowlands would be a good starting point, yeah?I don't know if it works long term but "Everyone Choose Sides" by The Wrens always kicks my ass out of a slump.
