I heard this story years ago that Paul McGuiness approached some lad like Carl Thompson or some other custom Bass maker guy askeing if he would build a custom Bass for Adam Clayton. Whoever the guy was, he told McGuiness politley he was sorry but he diddnt make one string bass'
