Robert Sarazin Blake

Robert plays the kind of songs that you hear on the radio during a late drive home: some sweet gruff voice out of nowhere singing to the still spot in your heart, the kind of song you turn up and sit in the car to finish, letting it all sink in. He unashamedly draws from folk sources and at the same time brings a careful modern appraisal to the process. His music stems from old style influences from Woody Guthrie to the plaintive Leonard Cohen, Dylan and some Billy Bragg,

A repeat visitor to Ireland, he has played with Erin McKeown, Sweep the Leg Johnny, The Murder City Devils, The Posies, Pete Krebs and Dave Mathews. He has been widely acclaimed amongst folk journalists and music magazines, online and offline all over, praising his music ability and commenting about his unique performance styles.

Robert is very involved in the same room recording movement – where, obviously enough, everything is recorded in the same room at the same time. He has released seven albums, the most recent being "Northwest Corner - An introduction to Robert Sarazin Blake" - on Irish label, Deadslack Records which has also released records by Agitated Radio Pilot, Old Man Polka and United Bible Studies.

Elaine Dowling

Her style floats from blues to folk rock and touches on many other genres, but is perfectly individual too. Her songs keep sucking you in and making you listen to them again and again. Her guitar playing is accomplished and subtle, which perfectly set off the beguiling songs she writes.

Gavin Moore

A West Cork based musician, who has toured the world many times with his songs. He has a great talent of combining easy melodies and good music with personal ideas; to the point of you knowing you haven't heard it before, but it reminds you of what you've thought yourself already. Self-described as "western European Atlantic rebel bog music"

Honest Spud Leonard

Self indulgent, but not arrogant. He writes songs that make you think about yourself, but HSL still wants your attention. HSL loves playing gigs and performing, but unlike most of his peers has no intentions of "hitting big time", he dreams of neither choice or meteor awards nor playing big festivals. he's just waiting for when Ronan Collins finally retires, then his love of music, talking, puns and flirting with as many middle aged women as possible at the same time can be fully satisfied. A unique talent, which is both a good and bad thing...

John Synott

Recently moved to Cork, after 2 years in Japan. John is equally at home on piano and guitar. He writes affecting songs that connect with you instantly, recalling the classic songwriters but has already found his own voice.

Colin Heffernan

A North Cork man who has only recently started playing stages after many years at parties and sessions. “A very natural stage manner and some great songs”, wrote the Evening Echo after only his second gig.

Did he do a song called Hackensack Bar that was on a Ballroom CD yonks ago?

aye. he was good that night if i remember. i think npb were on the same night. on an unrelated note that was a smelly night in the ballroom. the place smelled bad that night.
