I think I might re-do Prince cos he died and there's loads I left out.

Blood on the Tracks drags for me a little.Only 8 for Blood on the Tracks?
Desire is spoiled by Hurricane for me.
I love Street Legal but that's as far as I have gone.
Fair play.
Bob Dylan:
Highway 61 Revisited – 11
Fuck it, I'll do them all as I see it. This assumes you don't hate every single thing about them, which many do:
Generation Terrorists - 9 (gets a few extra points for the sheer audacity, ignoring the massive errors of judgement in production)
Gold Against the Soul - 8 (Ah I dunno, I love it despite having Drug Drug Druggy. The title track is way underrated)
The Holy Bible - 10 (my favourite album of all time apparently. I'd be betraying myself to not give it ten.)
Everything Must Go - 7 (I listened to this again recently and it seems to have aged badly. Hard to pinpoint exactly where though. Still a good album.)
TIMTTMY - 7 - (Better than us haters wanted it to be)
Know your Enemy - 4 (A number of great guitar riffs on this. About 3 good songs and zero good lyrics. Includes a shite attempt to rewrite Stayin Alive with political lyrics )
Lifeblood - 8 (A lot better than I realised at the time. Not much in terms of big choruses, but all the better for it)
Send Away the Tigers - 2 (Seriously embarrassingly awful album. Had that big hit lead single that's ok at best)
Journal for Plague Lovers - 7 (Better than it should have been but not quite as good as i'd hoped it would be)
Postcards from a Young Man - 3 (More awfulness. Great lead single on it though...)
My friend was the engineer on that one.Send Away the Tigers - 2
Yes. It’s my favourite Smog album right nowSupper better than Red Apple Falls??????
Time for an update on this bullshit
OUT OF TEN:
Generation Terrorists - 20
Gold Against the Soul - 9
The Holy Bible - 9.5
Everything Must Go - 9
TIMTTMY - 7
Know Your Enemy - 3
Lifeblood - 7.5
Send Away the Tigers - 2
Journal for Plague Lovers - 7.5
Postcards from a Young Man - 3
Rewind the Film - 5
Futurology - 6
Resistance is Futile - 2
I'm sure they did their best with what they were given. My friend was the engineer on that one.
Fair. I wish I could get into Futurology but I mostly found it all a bit embarrassing. Normally it's just the lyrics i'm cringing at but on that one...that glam-stomp song. Jesus.I can't remember if I've done these before but here is how I feel at the moment!
Generation Terrorists - 10
Gold Against the Soul – 8.5
The Holy Bible - 10
Everything Must Go – 9
TIMTTMY – 7.5
Know Your Enemy - 6
Lifeblood - 8
Send Away the Tigers - 3
Journal for Plague Lovers - 8
Postcards from a Young Man - 6 (a good 2.5 of this is for The Future Has Been Here 4Ever)
Rewind the Film – 7.5
Futurology - 8
Resistance is Futile – 3.5 (so disappointing that I didn't even buy it. It's definitely better than Tigers though.)
Really, I never liked it. Must go back to it. I actually picked up A River Ain't Too Much to Love there at lunchtime as I'd lost my copy. Nice one to have in the car in the summer!Yes. It’s my favourite Smog album right now
Sonic Youth
Evol – 8
Rather Ripped – 8
Some of them are self-released or semi-legitimate life recordings. I by no means own most of these.Sonic Youth have a lot more records than I thought.
I'm not sure what's shocking here. Evol is fine but not their best, Rather Ripped is really good but equally not their best.
Evol has never grabbed me as much as the other early albums. It doesn’t have the ferocity of the self-titled or Confusion is Sex nor are the songs as good as Sister/Daydream Nation (DN is my favourite).I actually think Evol is their best. Rather Ripped is unmercifully bland. A 5, tops.
