Just back from Gamestop. Empty handed. Well apart from Call of Duty 3 for the 360.

I couldn't do it, the games are average at best. I'd be bored of it within a few hours.

Is COD3 any use? I didn't actually buy it, i rented it. I'll buy it if its good.

Gamestop was really quiet, one of the guys in there said they've loads of ps3s.

"I got in here at 7.30 to open at 8 thinkin there was gonna be a rampage. Bout 6 people queued up and its been quiet ever since."

watched the racing game(gran turismo??) and an F1 game in hmv for a bit.
'meh' is the noise i made much to the disgruntlement of the surrounding nerds.
the F1 game looked waaay better than the other racing game though.

Estimated 165,000 sold in the UK over the first weekend, which is pretty impressive.

I'm still not getting one till some decent games come out for it.

You can't really compare them. Sony has shipped 4 or 5 times more consoles to Europe than Nintendo or Microsoft did. The Wii and 360 didn't have enough stock to meet demand when they launched, the ps3 has had more than enough so the sales are likely gonna be high.

105,000 for the 360, 70,000 for the wii. That was the amount shipped though, so both sold out.

The PS3 shipped over 200,000 so you can still buy one in most shops.
