your thoughts?

Badly done.
The font is shit and E in "noise" juts out showing the limited "design" skills of the plagiarist.

They're both shite for a start.I can't make out anything in the little pictures.

There was something like this on creativeireland recently

A highly respected Irish designer used what he thought was an old book cover as the main image for a flyer

It turned out that it was a recent work by this guy

It raised a bit of hell and the artist was genuinely sorry and apologized to all concerned for his mistake

It raised the question though of what exactly constitutes design when 99% of the image is from some other persons work

For gig flyers and poster in the DIY /Punk scene I don't think its a problem at all but on a professional level I'd be pretty piseed off if someone took credit and pay for work I did

fair enough its pretty mucha copy paste job, but its not the most oroiginal thing in the world to start with. a 9x4 table in ms word hardly constitutes a doctrate in graphic design like.

Cheeky muppets! I like how they actually got a Cork AND Limerick poster out of my original. As long as I get the same e10,000 fee for both that Halfset paid for the original everything will be A-OK.
It's gas that they bothered to change 3 or 4 of the pictures so no one would notice.

Mervyn
