I mostly liked White Chalk too, but it was truly bleak and sounded worryingly like a suicide letter*, so it's good to see her in better form on this...


* Edit: That seems slightly dramatic, but you know what I mean...

I loved White Chalk. Think it was my favourite PJ Harvey album(havnt heard them all).
I loved how morbid and dreary it was. The amount of songs that mention or alude to abortion left me thinking she may have had one before the recording.

Is this Desire is pretty good alright - a bit harsh sounding though. I can't really pick a favourite, but would love to see a live release
