"Today we were unlucky, but remember we only have to be lucky once, you will have to be lucky always."

Tebbit enjoyed being satirised as a sadistic bully who tortured his cabinet colleagues.

Thanks everyone, TBF he had to be "put to sleep". I don't know what happened. Just crawled under the bed and started howling very very loudly while his head came to rest on the floor and all his limbs stopped working. Very stressful.

Ah Jesus. Poor George.

Nice tribute to Joey.
Wrexham had their best ever team in late 70's / early 80's and spent 5 seasons in Division 2. Joey was far too good for that level but he loved Wrexham and was probably the outstanding player in the club's history with 479 games.
Joey is well remembered by Liverpool fans who were sorry to see him go.
Wales were unlucky not to qualify for three World Cups in 1978, '82 and '86.

Some serious players came out of north Wales in Joey's time - Southall, Rush, Hughes...

Recently read a great book by Tiffany Murray, about growing up at Rockfield Studios. One anecdote has her as a child being terrified by a mad man running naked and screaming through the yard in the middle of the night.
The next day a massive van turned up, with every cuddly toy you could possibly buy from Harrods as a gift for her, courtesy of a very sheepish Ozzy.
