Palestine (1 Viewer)

witnessed the pleasant sight in cork today of about 15 teenage scobes standing in the middle of patrick street in front of the protest and throwing stuff at the marchers, and I think a bit of racial abuse too. not a cop in sight all the way up and down the street at two in the afternoon. on the main street in cork. on a saturday. in the middle of the day. during a protest march. unfuckingbelievable.

Fear.

Fear of teenage scobes is the reason. They are not an easy target and as a result, the cops don't want to know.

They're also not renowned for being tolerant towards foreigners.

Something their middle class defenders would do well to remember.

Kids dressed up in military gear. Sure to send the right message.

May Allah bless those little guys.
Adorable wee tikes, dressed to kill (some infidels).

I can't help noticing the SWP right behind the pro-Hamas kiddy parade.
How long do you think it will be before SWP start claiming the intifada as their idea?

Least they have a choice too, Israeli kids have no choice as they have conscription and will commit their atrocities come what may. :)

Not all kids are dressed like that.
Every male in the Gaza is not always an AAMB or Hamas member, just like not every Catholic up north were IRA apprentices in waiting.

Kids starving, that sends the right message too? Also, it's symbolic?

Nothing symbolises an injust conflict like children dressed
for war. I wonder if anyone said anything to the father at
the march. Probably not though, Hamas are the good guys.
Right?

The thing about tags only usable for subscribers is how easy they are to read.

Donno who added Tzipi Livni is hot though, from a distance she may appear to be but close up that woman has aged badly in the last 6 months.

/ Terrorists acting illegally and not representing a state, could be Lebanese, could be Palestinian, could be Jordanian.
All of the kids are wearing Hamas headbands.
You must not be very well informed if you think Hamas
does not represent Palestine, because officially they do.
Hamas are the democratically elected leaders of the PNA
and are just as legitimate as Kadima, Fianna Fail or the
UK Labour party.

Has anyone on here actually come out in support for Hamas?
Janer reckons they're the good guys!

Anyone who seriously believe that Hamas are 'good' or
somehow morally superior to the IDF, then they've either
been reading some great propaganda or have been ignoring
a lot of the Israeli side of the story. If you're interested in the
conflict then you're obligated to read up on both sides. It
is a depressing war, and there are no good guys.

What's Palestine? They represent it, so what is it? The Kadima and Fianna Fail represent their countries when they're elected into its government.

I never said Hamas were "good guys". I don't think I'm suffering from a lack of reading up in this either. I see it in terms of cause and effect, not good guys vs. bad guys.

Endless siege on Gaza + illegal settlement in the West bank + unending occupation + murder, humiliation and oppression of the indigenous people of the area = resentment and desperation amongst Palestinians which will of course lead to extremism and violence.

The truth is, regardless of which side anyone's on, Israel hold the cards when it comes to making peace. If they wanted peace they could end the violence, end the occupation, end settlement, dismantle the wall, end blockades, check-points and humiliation. What can the Gazans do realistically to bring about peace? Stop their ineffective rocket attacks and suicide bombings. That's it. They had a cease fire. They ended it because it got them nowhere. Israel does not want to deal with Hamas and it does not want peace. It wants power, land and complete control over its neighbours. Hamas' extremist views are a convenient excuse for it to keep on as it always does. If Hamas wasn't there, Israel would find some other reason to maintain what it quite obviously wants to do.
