Has anybody been able to get this right? I've a decent nylon string Tanglewood which sounds great acoustically, but the onboard preamp/ eq is pure molten dick, gives me no end of trouble through a DI and eats batteries in a matter of days. Engineers always get shirty when I ask them to slap a microphone in front of it, which I can understand, I suppose. Any recommendations?

Probably because it'd be very difficult to get it up to a decent volume without feedback.

Usually because of uncontrollable feedback, or something as simple as there not being enough room on stage, which is fair enough. Feedback tends to be a problem because when you're using your fingertips as opposed to your fingernails as I do, to get sufficient volume out front and for monitoring with drums and other stuff coming through the PA, I have to get all up in the mics face.

Thanks for link Gar, was reading that yesterday. Those under the saddle L.R Baggs things look perfect but if I try to install one of those myself there'd be carnage
