Saw Buzzcocks when I was about 15-16 or so, drunk old lad, about 40ish hit me on the head with a bottle of vodka. For some reason, punched him in the face. He laughed his ass off at my pathetic attempt and buggered off while I burst into tears and tried to get out of the gaggle of similarly inebriated 40 year old men.

That metal all dayer aiken put on in rds years ago. Crazy white Sean was arrested after some lads father complained to police, rake of awful bands, sit down bit in raging speedhorns set as protest to security being heavy handed. Wasn't good...

The Raging speed horn started a fight with some lads i know outside at that gig

i remember being kjicked on the head by someone crowd surfing at a witness or oxegen. i think 2002 so that'd be a witness.

i also remember being hit on the nose with a ball that was kicked by a crowd safety person at a witness or oxegen. both unpleasant experiences. i think 2003 so that's be oxegen.

Oh yeah Witness and Oxygen how has this not been mentioned. Got my eye brow burst open by a crowd surfer and had to have it sewn shut in the medical tent while watching a guy have a seizure beside me. The "Doctor" doing the stitching and i had this exchange

"Have you taken any drugs or drink ?"

"No"

"Well you're about to wish you had, because I legally can't give you anything"

He then stitched me up without anisthetic. Which is surprisingly painful.

It wasn't a gig but a disco in a community hall in Spiddal in the late 80s. I was young and there against my will and when we walked in you could feel the major bad vibes. The place was full of older trash metallers starting on everybody and each other. West Coast Story style!
We were there about 20 minutes, I was just trying to keep me head down, and right beside me this guy in a Kreator t-shirt (I remember that) just smashed a glass square into another guys face. It wasn't random, they obviously knew each other. Then all hell broke loose, screaming and bllod everywhere, while the glassed guy was escorted through the hall.
It was gruesome, the rest is a blur, and it left a mental scare on me to stay anyway from anyone who liked Kreator.

Went to play a gig in Holland while on a sobriety kick. Despite my best intentions, I ended up drinking, smoking and snorting copious amounts of suspect substances. Felt bad, then good, then bad again. Most negative/positive/negative gig experience. Then I got over it.

got into a scrap with a junkie outside TBMC for a Primal Scream gig. he nicked my ticket. had to be bundled into a cab when he came back threatening to stab me.

It is when you have to get 18 stitches to close a wound which is at least 1 inch wide, and only 1 inch long. It was like a hole. Also I briefly went blind in that eye from the blood which feels horrible. To be fair the needle wasn't the part that was bothersome, it was the way he held it shut while he did it. He also said "there's not much to stitch here son, If it opens up again you will definitely have a massive scar, but by the looks of you, you probably don't care about that"

Back then I suppose that once you grew a beard people assumed you think you're horrendously ugly and couldn't give a balls about your head. Which in my case is true but still an unfair generalisation. Oh how times have changed.... Eh... Thanks hipsters ?


Also was anyone at the gig at the lower deck were some fucking half wit outside shot at people with an air rifle ? That was fucked.

I got a bloody nose moshing to Raw Novembre once, during the bit in Insanity that goes "Blood on the walls, blood on the floor, blood on my hands...". I've gotten off lightly enough so far i suppose. Another time I asked two lads behind me to be quiet during a godspeed you black emperor gig in the ambassador and the pricks started talking deliberately louder. It was a shite gig anyway, so again, could have been worse.

Just remembered the silverfish gig in London i was at where someone set fire to one of the PA stacks. Could have been ropey, but some lad just wandered over, poured his pint on it; gig continues.
