then i sent an email saying "Hi - received these today and the stitching ripped when i started pulling the first leg on, would like a refund or replacement if you believe they were defective"

meaning 'would like replacement if you believe they were a bad pair rather than just shite quality' but now i've made it sound like maybe it's ok for new clothes to instantly come apart and i'll leave that up to them to decide
