Minor complaints thread (9 Viewers)

I know what shoes I'd wear, so if it's a closed coffin I don't really need to worry about it.

I got all panicked about death and ended up in a Solicitors yesterday getting a Will made, and now I can't find anything that I can wear in my coffin if I died soon. Everything looks too casual, or too clubby. I might actually have to go out and buy something, just incase.

Fuck that,go in the buff(only really would work if it was open casket). Everyone will feel kinda uneasy, but you won't care because you're dead.

Just got a facebook message off my dad now "Having trouble with phonetry contact with internet messanger or god knows what all is well hope same with you and eve off to asia soon talk soon" there was a picture of him driving a tucktuck with it.
The prick is living my dream.

Also my Mum's headstone is finally finished, only took 2 years.
It needs to be inscribed but I can't get through to my Dad, so I dont know what he wants. His exact words were "maybe something Egypt-ish! WTF??
The other's want something about her being like sunshine,.

Combine the two ideas. Have the curse of Ra inscribed in hieroglyphics on it. Then woe betide anyone who messes with it.

My dad's gone off traveling for the next few months, possible indefinitely.
The last time I heard from him was October 12th and he was in Thailand. I'm fairly sure he's ok though as my cousin said he saw him in Australia.
That's fine I'm glad he's having a nice time, the shit part is that now I'm the person in the family that has to do freakin everything; paperwork, sorting out hospital appointments, paying the bills on time... all from Tipperary.

The other's want something about her being like sunshine, or a maybe "Screw this, I'm going back to sleep" (I said that one as a joke, and it's kinda stuck).
It's probably going to be my dad's grave too, so I need something to say about both of them.

I realise I sound nuts.

Dads eventually get to go travelling in Asia "indefinitely"? My God, there's light at the end of the tunnel.

i was there in april and found people grand in that respect, maybe they're getting better at understanding foreigners attempting french

even a snotty chanel-suited lady at the macarons stall in the airport didn't pretend not to understand me

Get a t-shirt that says 'my other coffin is a porsche'

thats what I'll do.

We had that headstone experience in my family too. If you're unsure, I'd suggest keeping it basic and short. You can always add stuff to it later. Removing stuff from it isn't so straightforward.

Also, fuck death.

I’ll likely be eating on my own and my French is non existent. I feel like ordering in restaurants could be a humiliating experience!
Don't worry about it. You're not the first in that position and I think the rudeness of Parisiens is a bit overstated.

Frites est oeufs sans jambon s'il vous plait, worked for me (though my French ain't too bad).

(chips and eggs with no ham)
