Did anyone see Mad For The Racket in Whelans? Kramer, Brian James, Clem Burke, and...Mani. It was mad, and a racket, although the only really really great moment was when they played Kick Out The Jams. Brilliant.Would go in a second just to see Wayne Kramer play guitar again.
Good gig, I thought. I was a bit weirded out by the rock heritage on stage, it took a while to stop thinking "so THAT'S what Brian James looks like now", etc etc. I really thought Kick Out The Jams was head and shoulders better than anything else they played though. That was a great gig,I already had and loved the CD and was really looking forward to it. I hate when bands have that one song that everyone goes nuts for,it's often not even the best song. Sadly its been the case all the times ive seen Wayne Kramer play.
