I hated exams though. My two mates from then, one has just gone back to do another degree and the other has just done a masters

Yeah, fuck school. Does anyone at all look back on them as the happiest days of their lives or is that officially a lie that parents and teachers tell kids to subdue them? I don't have kids so I'm not party to these secrets.

I thought education was all about passing exams to get to college and more exams, I had no appreciation of education for it's own sake until more recent times. I'm appalled at myself for wasting such good opportunities. E.g. I spent a year of college in France where I enrolled in french students english classes and barely passed.
