Kurt Vile is a Philadelphia guitarist and singer. He presently is the lead guitarist in the band The War on Drugs and also has a burgeoning solo career. He was signed on Matador Records in May 2009 as a solo artist.[1]
His music has been likened to Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, and Tom Petty.[2] His first album for Matador Records, titled Childish Prodigy, is due in autumn 2009.[3] He plays both solo shows as well as shows with a backing band called The Violators.[4]"

Some of the other reminds me of BJM (with the psychedelic bits) and Take My Advice even reminds me of a bit of Mum. Don't Get Cute is such a good song too. I'm guessing he'd put on a good show.

I enjoyed it, probably helped by the fact that I actually able to see the band as whelans was totally wedged for that gig, really poor venue for sold out gigs

The gig in Twisted Pepper where the Lie Ins opened was great. Winter 2009 or 2010? I plan on seeing him next week at Primavera. No clashes with him on the line-up for me.
