King of Limbs (3 Viewers)

Sweet, dying to get home to check it out!! COuldn't get into the last album at all, apart from a couple of songs, so hoping this is a return to form.

It's not that great so far, let's be honest. Aside from a few good tunes. "Lotus Flower", "Codex" and "Morning Mr Magpie" being those.

But maybe it's a grower?

Are you people all just downloading this from mediafire? Really? Half-listening to it once and writing it off? I thought we grew up.

Not that I'll be downloading it, buying it or even listening to it.

It's only available as a download, no physical release until the end of March, the band put the digital version out there themselves.

listening to it on shitty headphones is a bit of a waste of time, says me after doing it twice earlier on then moving to decent speakers. Its like hearing a different record. Remind me of the krautrock tunes on the bbc four documentry.

First Listen Review:

Meh.

Bit of a continuation of In Rainbows. I.e. Skittery beats, mumbled vocals, jazzy guitars, synth/guitar textures, no songs.
Only really gets good in the last 3 tracks. There's some nice moments scattered throughout the album but as soon as you think a song is gonna go somewhere, it doesn't. Nice bass sounds as always though! Will probably be better hearing these songs live anyway.
