I was thinking of starting a thread like this as I enjoyed reading Henrys Leg so much.

Aside from all the narnia stuff my favourite kids book is The Runaways by Ruth Thomas.

Here - did anyone else read the Secret of the Ruby Ring? A good oirish historical book that was.

I got TSOTRR for christmas one year. I read it loads of times but I always thought the character was a bit of a tit.

Under the Hawthorn tree - did you also read the sequel where yer one fecks off to america?

really? is it cool to get books for two year olds? i guess her mum and dad can read it to her. i couldnt read much til i was 4.

also met the author one time. she was overweight.
 
yes, read the 'coming of age' hawthorn one.
B i think its great to get kids books, seeing as most 2 year olds get PSPs and ferraris before they can say 'mama'
 
I think books are the best present you can give a kid.

When I was a baby my great aunt got me these two beautiful hardback books of brothers grimm and hans christian anderson stories. I wish I still had them now, they were so pretty.
