Well you know my opinion Johnny, Billy Childish is more of a punk then Joe Strummer could ever be & The Monks were more of a punk band then The Clash could ever be too. It's just my opinion.

I only mean in what he has to say compared to the other members, I'm not by any means saying Paul, Topper, Mick and Terry were weak musicians. I'm a huge Clash fan and judging by various interviews I've seen em in thats what I think.

I don't agree, Mick was a great musician but his lyrics just don't amaze me like Joe's. I don't think singing abilities come into it

I have a bootleg somewhere of Strummer with the pogues from Whelans in 1991, the set list is mostly stuff off hells ditch. Piss poor overall.

The pogues dvd from the town and country club 1988 has a good Strummer/Pogues collaboration on it.
