I've never been at all. I heard an interesting report recently enough about how the youngsters there have all gone feral and are running wild about the place attacking all around them, drinking, taking drugs, mitching from school, robbing, speaking incomprehensibly, stealing and burning cars, disrespecting teachers parents and other authority figures. I wouldnt set foot there if i were you.

I thought I might go and check out these wild youths but it's relatively pricey to fly there considering it's about 6 miles away. Is it worth the bother does anyone know?

I was there with the scouts in around 1985. I remember there was a deadly water park and a massive wheel, and not much else, other than cats and they have their own 10p coin

The boat only seems to go on a wednesday and I dont want to go that badly. I reckon one night would be more than enough. I haven't looked that hard into it tbh, but google came up with approx €240 return friday/sunday

Last time I checked the ferry only operated each way once a week, which meant an enforced 1 week stay.

that was a search on direct ferries dot ie.

but i was wrong about the more than once a week sailings

HOWEVER

There are two sailings from belfast a week

One from dublin


BUT

the belfast one winds down for winter.

So a shorter trip is possible either in the next two weeks or next year.
