went to ikea today for a gorm.

Went there yesterday to get a bathroom cabinet. The big tall one, €95. We found it in the storeroom area and were surprised to see it used 2 boxes. I was putting it together thinking "this looks a bit odd" why was there a mirror? and this looks like the wrong item. It was Argos all over again ie: every single purchase involves bringing it back to the shop. THEN it turns out that the tall cabinet was in the other box. What the €95 had got us was 5 different pieces of bathroom furniture! So the kids ended up getting cupboards for their rooms out of it too!!
All this brings up the question.. Have our Value For Money expectations been so fucked up that we expected to have to spend €95 on ONE cabinet? The notion that we were buying the entire bathroom set??!!
Anyway, mad place.
