one of the requirements is xpsp2? ffs! they really are pushing this "you have to upgrade os" malarky aint' they????!!! how long before everything new from microsoft will only run on vista!?

They stopped supporting win 2000 at the end of last year so expect this to happen a lot now.

ie7 is ok, nothing new at all in it. Considering the fact that they said there would be no new versions after version 6 in 2003, it goes to show the kick up the arse they got from firefox last year.
 
Heard the rendering engine is pretty rappah. No-one actually cares about that unless they're Zeldman, though (or unless they have to change all the CSS box-model hacks)
Usability is still shite. That's betas for you though.
